My AUX input on my computer is unfortunately busted to a degree, so it would've been nice if the controller would've been a remedy for that, but I can still make do.Ĭonclusion: Looks like it'd be better on the Xbox One overall, because it's already outstanding on a computer in my experience so far. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for that, either because my computer can't find the mic/headset anymore like always, because my headset may not have a mic(though I think it does?), or because that feature is more specifically made for Xbox One. The plug at the bottom that supports the audio for a headset, I tried it with some headhphones and plugged them in from my controller to the PC. My only issue with it so far is something that's more of my computer's issue or possibly my headphones. It's so nicely customizable even without using the Xbox One app. While still having about a foot or two of cord freedom.
The cord is long enough for me to play all the way in the back of my bed with my computer all the way at my desk. They both are perfectly placed to use my middle fingers to hit them comfortably. Allowing me to crouch and aim at the same time, as well as zoom in like I was using a mouse wheel. I didn't think I'd find a use for em but low and behold it felt nice to apply the crouch button and zoom to both wheels. I'm actually pleasantly surprised, because it's specifically more like a switch. I thought they'd rotate fully or be a little more like a wheel that you could press in like a mouse wheel.
The lil wheels didn't feel like how I expected tbh.
Xbox One Afterglow Prismatic Wired Controller Driver For Pc Download The lighting is amazingly beautiful and the vibration is strong on both the base and the impulse triggers. The triggers feel satisfying to press down, and some people pointed this out already but, the wire to plug in at the top, is nicely fit into the controller, so it stays snug, doesn't disconnect easily, and will be safe from outside elements like dust and etc. Joysticks are comfortable, the buttons doesn't have as round of a top to them on the face, so I don't feel like I'm pushing bubbles. I've been needing to get experienced with Xbox controllers again for a friend of mine and I also wanted to use a controller again like I did in my youth of Nintendo and etc.
So YES! It works on Windows 7 just fine, plugged in and played Portal 2 for a good while.Įverything on it feels great imo.
3 hours? The best part was learning PDP actually released drivers that work for previous versions of Windows besides Windows 8-10.
I wanted to follow up because I got it today and I've been playing with it on my PC for the past. So, I posted here about a week ago asking a lot of questions about this controller that has a decent amount of reviews on too. The controller is here for reference: Afterglow Xbox One Wired Controller Driver Afterglow Prismatic Xbox One by PDP is AMAZING!!! You will receive a warning about the driver potentially being incompatible, because Microsoft can't verify that it will work for your device. As your Afterglow controller is wired, select the 'Xbox 360 Controller for Windows' option.
*I tried to update the drivers by downloading the Xbox controller drivers from the Xbox catalog called AMD64 and X86 or something along those. My Xbox One Wired Afterglow Controller Doesn't Work with Windows 7. When I plug it in, it says the driver was not found. My Xbox One controller doesn't work on Windows 7.
